I'm a critical/qualitative researcher and ethnographer with a background in the applied humanities. I'm passionate about conducting and creating compelling research for human-centered design.Â
I'm currently a Ph.D. student and Flagship Fellow at the University of Maryland studying Communication with a focus on Rhetoric and Political Culture, paired with a Digital Studies in the Arts and Humanities certificate with a focus on HCI/UX research. I received my B.A. in Communication Arts and Sociology at Gordon College.Â
I'm a fast learner, a self-starter, and an excellent inter-context communicator. I grew up in international and multilingual contexts across Asia & the U.S., and some of my favorite work experiences have been with start-ups, new teams, and tight-knit companies. I also come from a creative/applied background and have a well-informed understanding of the importance of research-informed design.Â
