U.S. Green Building Council | Communication & Research Intern | Summer 2020
Purpose: To deliver clarity to organization leaders about how their new company vision was being communicated to its publics and stakeholders, specifically recontextualizing the vision within the current COVID-19 climate. 
In the summer of 2020, I conducted a textual analysis of the U.S. Green Building Council's new company vision, utilizing critical/rhetorical research methods. 
I drew upon the organization's previous communications to piece together a rhetorical understanding of how the organization was framing pivotal keywords such as "healthy," "people," "places," and "economy." 
As a non-profit organization, the U.S. Green Building Council has a vested interest in balancing both the human-centric aspect of its mission, as well as its economic benefits of stakeholders utilizing their Green Building certification program. 
This research project was presented at the 2020 Summer Intern Showcase and was able to deliver clarity to organization leaders regarding how their newly designed company vision was being communicated within the context of its audiences.
