Method: Semi-structured in-depth interviews.
In this ongoing research project, I am gathering and conducting interviews for a qualitative research project that examine the student (user) experience of attending an American international school in the Asian context. This project seeks to contribute to literature on race in transnational contexts, especially found within the field of education.
This research project will undergo IRB approval and aims to reach 10-20 interviewees. Interviews will be coded, themed, and examined via critical rhetorical methods.
Ultimately, this research will be used in tandem with other emerging research that seek to improve the experiences of Asian students in American school systems in their home countries, equipping American international school educators with better ways to provide their students with healthy, holistic education.
